This Website Design and Management Agreement is made between the aforementioned Client and Web Designer to design, develop, and manage the following website.
During the initial consultation we will discuss the type of site you'd like to create. We will look at examples of sites that inspire you and talk about the direction you would like to head in. We will cover layout, typography, color schemes and layout. Once we understand your vision we will collect any necessary materials and information such as page content and media. If you need assistance with creating content or multimedia for your site our services will also cover that.
In this phase of the site, the designer will provide guidance and advice in areas that may be unclear to the client or not previously thought of. Any questions that the Client might have about the process of the site development or anything pertaining to the site itself will be answered by the Designer and Developer at this time.The goal is to educate the Client (if needed) on what exactly they are purchasing in order to maximize their full use of the provided services towards their new site.The initial consultation process is free for the client unless they decide not to move forward with the site in which case they will be charged an hourly rate.
Additional Consultations or meetings will be charged the hourly rate.
The Client may dictate the exact look and feel of the site regardless of the Designer's input.If the Client does not have any design input the designer will style the site independently then present to the Client for approval once complete.From there the Client may make additional changes to customize the site to their specific needs or preferences.There are not limits to the number of changes you can make to the design of the site in this phase. Please keep in mind that the number of changes that are made will consequently effect the time and cost of the project overall. The Designer will implement the use of site builders, themes, custom CSS, and additional tools to create the desired design while maintaining a rich user experience.
Once the Design (look and feel) of the site has been decided and agreed upon content will start to be added to the site.Please keep in mind that some content may be added during the design stage to have a better idea of what the site's pages will look like, especially if multi-media involved. During the Development stage we will begin to finalize site content, layout and functionality (how the site behaves).Ideally the site layout will be decided during the design phase then the content will be added later, afterwards focus will be shifted to the functionality. Note that the process may not always follow this work flow due to last minute changes in design and/or content but this is the intended progression path.
Once the site is complete the management stage will proceed. The site will be maintained and updated as needed. Software versions of the platform and the used plugins are changed frequently and will need to be updated to ensure site performance. Updates will be made manually as automatic updates to themes and certain plugins may change the previously decided style that has been implemented to the site.
Frequent backups of the site will be made and cycled out of storage when outdated. This will ensure that the Client can back their site up to a certain point in the past if needed. In the event that any part of the site's back or front-end were to crash/malfunction a correction or back-up will be implemented as soon as possible to have the site displaying and functioning as expected.Site management will come with a monthly fee. The fee is dictated by the level of management and resources needed to maintain the site. The monthly management fee will be discussed and agreed upon once the site Design and Development processes are complete. In the case that the Design and Development process is extended the monthly management fee will begin after the first month.
Website Updates will be made through change requests. Currently the change requests will be submitted by the Client via email. If and when the method for submitting change requests are updated this information will be communicated by the Website Manager.Each change will come with a standard price and hourly rate. Prices for each type of change will be communicated ahead of time. If a change price is not previously recorded it will be communicated and agreed upon before work is done.
The hourly Rate for this specific site is $15 per hour. After the first consultation the hourly rate will begin. Once the site is complete all changes will be priced based on the table below. For any changes that exceed an hour in time the hourly rate will be added to the item cost.Prices:
If any changes/updates are required for this agreement they will be discussed and and agreed upon by both parties. Afterwards updated documentation will be provided and signed.
